Banner Ridge Yurt

We snowshoe pretty often in a good snow year, but never do we camp out in the snow.  So Lauri decided that we would take a trip to a yurt and stay overnight.  It was an easy snowshoe in, with about 35 lbs. each in our packs.  We made it quickly, dropped our extra gear, and then went for a hike around the rim and some sunny weather.  The next day we headed out and took the long way which while exhusting, it provided us ample encounters with nature.  We saw birds and tracks from a dozen animals. The hills are alive...
