Check Out These Great Photography Tips From The Experts
People who aren't already familiar with photographic techniques may have a hard time understanding how to take high-quality pictures. A lot of the time, people are not sure where to go to get some sound advice on photography. You will find out some things you didn't know about photography.
Use a variety of shutter speeds to get unusual shots. It's commonly accepted to use super-high speeds in order to freeze moments in time, but slower shutter speeds have their advantages too. Want to creatively capture the bicyclist riding by? You will get a perfect image of the cyclist, but the background will have interesting streaks showing speed.
Many people think sunny days are great for photos, but direct sunlight can ruin nearly any image. Direct sun will cast shadows and cause glares but it will cause highlights that are uneven and your subjects may squint. When possible, choose to shoot in the early mornings or late evenings.
Silhouettes are a wonderful photography technique. One of the most common ways to generate a silhouette is by using the sunset. However, other methods do exist. A silhouette will appear if the background is a lot brighter than the subject. Having a beautiful silhouette can be as simple as positioning the flash away from the camera, behind the subject you are photographing. A bright light outside a window can also produce similar results. However, keep in mind that occasionally, a face or body outline could highlight a bad feature of your subject.
Regardless of whether you are pursuing photography as a hobby or career, good composition is the key to taking high quality photos. Like other forms of art, if your composition is lacking, then the outcome will not be the best. For better shots, practice different ways of composing your photos.
Hold your camera correctly if you want to take great pictures. If you are not holding your camera in the right way, you will get a shaky picture. Don't reach your hands out too far, and make sure that your lens is being held with your off hand.
Keep the knowledge of the settings on your camera simple. Focus on learning a single aspect of your camera's settings before moving on to the others. This will allow you to focus on capturing the picture, instead of spending all your time fiddling with the camera while your subject simply walks away.
To many people, photography is an forbidding and mysterious field, even though it need not be. When they learn the art of photography their world opens up, allowing them to enjoy it as a hobby or profession. Use the advice in this article to help you become a better photographer today.

can you turn a disposable cameras flash into a small lamp ?
ive seen a few things around on the net about changing the flash rates and etc and alternate uses for camera flash bulbs and the electricals associated with them and i had a thought ... a flashbulb in the cheap disposable cameras is just a small xenon right? doesit have to just flash ? isit possible to make a powerful torch or something out of also what other uses for them ?
Not really practical. It needs the very high voltage discharge to light it for the very short nano-sec. duration of the flash and a longer flash cycle would destroy it.
