The Lastest On The Samsung 1755 Printer
The Samsung ML 1755 printer is one of this company's smallest monochrome laser printers to date. It has a design that fits in any home. It has a footprint of 13.8' x 14.6", which is perfect for small rooms or offices. When it is printing, it produces around 52 decibels of sound, which is equivalent to the sound of people talking from a distance of 30 feet or so. The ML 1755 cartridges produces prints usually associated with much higher end products.
The 1755 has a larger memory as compared to the ML 1750. To be exact, the memory is four times larger. Even though this printer has enough power to be used in an office, it is still categorized for personal use. The 250-sheet paper tray is more than double the size of other printers under the same category. You can even adjust it to fit 11" x 14" legal size paper.
The maximum resolution is 1,200 x 600 dpi. This is makes it great for printing text and graphics. Photo printing is not advisable as we found the picture was a little too grainy for us. In addition, printing detailed graphics may result in some problems since this is machine is primarily designed for basic use.
It can print 17 pages in a minute, which is fast for a personal laser printer. It also has two ports for connectivity. You have the option to use USB or parallel ports. This is great for people who do not have any available or limited USB ports. However, there is no 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port.
The 32-megabyte memory is more than enough to handle heavy loads of printing. There is also an optional external adapter you can use to connect the device to your home or office network. The drivers support Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems. This makes it perfect if you have a Mac book and a Windows based personal computer.
It has a single button in the control panel, which can be used for several functions. The function will depend on how you pressed the button. The two LEDs can also help identify problems, but you have to read the manual in order to understand what the flashing lights mean.
It is bundled with a 1,000 page yield Samsung printer toner. We highly recommend purchasing a separate toner when buying the device if you want to make sure you will not run out of toner anytime soon. A standard toner cartridge can print 3,000 pages. Unfortunately, there is no available high-yield toner for this model. The standard cartridge can cost upward of $70, which makes each print cost 2.33 cents. This is a lot cheaper than most laser printers in its category.
As mentioned before, the bundled software can support Linux and Windows operating systems. However, you might need to download the latest software if you are using a Mac OS. It is just to make sure that maximum compatibility is met. You can even download software that enables the device to work in the Leopard operating system.
Even though the Samsung ML 1755 has limited photo-printing capability, it is still a great laser printer. The large memory and multi-platform software is what makes this device worth its price. Having both parallel and USB is just an added bonus for the end user. Just remember, this is a printer built for documents, and it is not intended for photo and detailed printing.
The printing this machine is designed for is enhanced by the ML 1755 printer toner, which offers the sharpness usually associated with higher end machines. Samsung toner cartridges is available locally, however, users may find online retailers have bulk toner cartridges at prices that just can’t be matched.
How do I trigger Britek PS-300H Studio Flash with Nikon D40 via sync cord?
I am using a Nikon D40 camera (with AS10 type flash adapter) to trigger my Britek PS-300 Studio Flash via a sync cord. When it is on manual the flash is not triggered. However, when the camera is placed on automatic the flash goes off every time. I try to shoot the cameras with the "pop up" down but after shooting a few photos it pops up (by itself) although the flash adapter and sync cord is connected.
How do I get the Britek PS-300H studio flash to fire every time on manual. I use camera settings of: 640 f5.6 and iso Auto. I tried several combinations of camera settings but none worked consistently well.
With the D40 the x-sync speed is 1/500th second. With the camera in M, normally the built -in flash would never pop-up by itself. It would in Auto.
Even with a flash in Manual mode, when it's turned on the camera should detect it. With the camera in M, it should limit the shutter to 1/500th second even if it had been turned up to a faster speed with a flash absent. In Auto the camera should choose 1/60th second by default, and it should abstain from popping up the flash. It works that way with a Nikon flash on the hotshoe. Somehow the camera is treating your flash as if it is absent or turned off.
Fujifilm Makes The Glorious X-Pro1 Official (But Still No Price) (crunchgear?)
The veil has already been lifted on Fujifilm's new semi-pro interchangeable-
lens compact thanks to a French magazine with an itchy printer finger, but
here at CES, the camera has just been made official and all the gaps in our
information have been filled. Check out the official confirmation and some new
specs inside.
