Panasonic ESLV81K - Best Electric I've Ever Used. Excellent Shaver !!!
Its been 4 weeks since I had and started using my Panasonic shaver. I thought I owned a affordable Braun Series 7, and seriously doubted that anything are usually much better, even at threefold the price. I 've had my current Braun for at least 5 yrs, and usually have been a foil shaver user, eventhough I 've tested (and quickly given up on) a decent rotary shaver by Norelco, foil does work best for me.
The 1st time I turned on the Panasonic ESLV81K, it sounded like a turbocharged version of my old razor - the Panasonic's F-18 whine created the poor old Braun sound like some badly tuned Briggs and Stratton weedeater.
As hoped for, the first shave was a little awkward. Since my Braun has a skinnier head, and the Panasonic is much wider, the actual motion required is dissimilar and takes some getting used to. Also the Panasonic tilts on two axis - allowing virtually any rotation, where the Braun only tilts front back. Each day I got more accustomed with to how to hold it and my shave time became more efficient.
The Panasonic got down to work right away with in such speed and ability that there was no tugging or pulling of my whiskers. Right after each shave, the razor informs you how long you 've been using it and how much charge is left by percentage (by 10 % increments). It will flash at ten percent for a about a day, and because it's digital, will go from full ability to nothing instantly - as compared to the Braun which will wind down naturally on the final day of shaving. Both last just 7 days between charges for me.
After about 3 weeks of Panasonic use, I decided to choose my Braun with us on a short journey, allowing me to have a great chance to really compare the two shavers. Another reason to choose the Braun is that the Panasonic only comes with a soft case, where the Braun's case is hard, which I feel is better protective covering. Sorrowfully, my old Braun made me look like I'd gone back in time, taking a Model T instead of a 2012 Mercedes. It really was that different. Just like a faithful trooper, the Braun did work, but did n't give me as close or fast a shave as the Panasonic. I'd say the Panasonic takes me about 20 % less time to shave and gives me about 25 % much better results.
The wet or dry alternative with the Panasonic ESLV81K is definitely useful, and something I 've never had the enjoyment of experiencing before. I admit, it felt very unusual taking an shaver into the shower with me, and it's not something I'd do every day, but definitely gives a closer and more comfortable shave.
Although it's nice to have an automatic cleaning and charging system (housed a strangely ugly and cheap-looking unit), it is also exceptional to have a razor that does n't expect not cheap fluids to keep it clean. With a squirt of liquid soap, a extra power setting, and a splash of water, the razor is clean and ready for another week of shaving duties. Not only does this save money, it's especially helpful for travellers who do n't really feel like lugging the cleaning unit around (a messy proposition, even if you had space in the bag).
The Panasonic did not disappoint me, and I feel it lived up to everything I believed a very expensive shaver should be. With a mind blowing blue digital readout, nicely ergonomic handle, and great results, I really hope this shaver lasts the rest of my life, since I would really be hard pressed to invest this much for a substitute!.

Panasonic's fully loaded men's wet/dry washable electric shavers are packed with smart, innovative features that deliver a remarkably close and comfortable shave. The ES-LV81-K is a five-blade (Arc 5) shaving system, which means more foils for better coverage and reduced shaving time. Hypoallergenic blades and foils cause less irritation and are best for sensitive skin. Panasonic men's electric shavers feature 30-degree-angle Nanotech blades and Lift-Tech outer foils to cut hair at its base with close, accurate precision. Along with the Multi-Flex pivoting head, the shaver glides uniformly along the contours of the face and covering the chin, jaw line and sideburns while providing maximum comfort. The fast 14,000 CPM linear motor eliminates tugging and pulling that can occur with slower electric shavers. This electric razor maintains peak power right up to the end of the charge, to ensure a consistently close shave. When the shaver's Lithium-Ion battery needs recharging, simply insert the shaver into the automatic cleaning and charging system for a clean, renewed shave. The ES-LV81-K five-blade (Arc 5) men's electric shaving system comes equipped with a travel pouch, 10-stage LCD display, travel lock switch, and pop-up trimmer. Optional accessories include: foil (WES9171PC), blade (WES9170PC), combo set (WES9030P), and cleaning cartridges (WES035P). The shaving system weighs 7.1 ounces and measures 2 by 2.8 by 6.3 inches (LxWxH).
CES: What's in our bags for the year's biggest gadget show [Updated] (LA Times)
The annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show has
begun. Team LAT is getting into place, and our coverage has started. I'm still
en route. This year, instead of flying as I usually do, I'm road tripping it.
In fact, I'm cruising along Interstate 15 as I type -- riding, not driving.
And I'm traveling a little lighter than in years past. My bag is smaller, so
are my computer and camera. But they're all more powerful.
