Canon ImageClass D660 - Aiding Your Workplace To Work Better
Specs- The Canon ImageClass D660 Copier Printer uses ImageClass D660 toner cartridge and employs the latest digital, laser technology to produce fantastic quality prints in black and white. This multi-function device definitely doesn't compromise on style and compaction at 17.5x24.5x15 inch with it's super affordable price of US$400.00. You will have to search far and wide to get a better investment with such low maintenance, heavy duty performance.
Paper handling- Paper handling is very efficient, not to mention fast via the 500 sheet front cassette and 100 sheet multi-tray. All popular paper types are accepted by the device including plain, colour, bond, transparencies, labels and envelopes. Letter and legal are unfortunately the only compatible paper sizes accepted. The machine boasts with a rather large media cap of 600 sheets. Warm-up time is short, not even worth a mention at 1second. First copy or print out is at an impressive 13 seconds
Print Quality- Text prints are absolutely crisp and clean with no smudging or blemishing. Character outlines are clear both in high and low font sizes. Photo and graphics quality is also above average. However most users will prefer colour to monochrome printing. If this is the case, rather opt for a Canon colour printer. Prints are produced at either 600x600 or 2400x600 resolutions depending on the print quality required. Be sure to only use Canon ImageClass D660 printer toner cartridge with this product.
Con's- One of the biggest con's to the device is it's paper jam tendency. A lot of time is wasted on fixing the jam itself as well as restarting the print job or jobs. Printer reliability is serious affected by the problem. Rather steer clear from the device if the printing environment is pressed for time or print quantities are large.
Features- This multi-function device comes with super features in the form of Canon's Advanced Printing Technology producing impeccable quality prints, copies are produced at the speed of white light 13 pages per minute for letter size and 10 pages per minute legal, zooming function as low as 50% and up to 200% with multiple increment settings, automatic 30 page feeding, Canon's single cartridge system eliminates regular maintenance and last but not least memory collation of multiple pages.
Interfacing- Connectivity options cater for both your older computers in the form of Parallel and latest technology with USB connections. Unfortunately, only Windows operating systems are supported by the device. Currently Vista OS is also not compatible with the device. This limits the user base significantly as Linux and Apple Mac systems are totally rejected. Remember USB cable is not included with your purchase.
Warranty- A 3 year warranty with 1 year on-site service is included with your purchase. Please note that the warranty is very limited in terms of parts, service and labour. Strict terms and conditions apply.
Toner-Full-sized ImageClass D660 printer toner will be included with your in store or online printer copier investment. These larger sized cartridges have 5000 print capacity at 5% coverage. Greater print capacity will be possible with lower coverage percentages. The Single Cartridge System is an absolute cost saver making toner, development unit and drum replacement as easy as replacing only one consumable instead of three. Cartridges cost approximtely US$160.00.
