Nikon S4000 Offers A Much More Logical Way Of Integrating Menu Structure
Coolpix S4000 is a cool point and shoot digital camera prepared to meet all the basic needs of digital photography today. The S4000 incorporates a 12-megapixel digital camera sensor and a 4x optical zoom lens which, when put along with the digital camera’s computerized modes, make the Nikon compact digital camera a breeze to make use of.Weighing in at only 131 grams with battery and reminiscence card inserted, the Nikon Coolpix S4000 is a very compact digicam. Thanks to its small size and average weight, it simply fits into a shirt pocket. In terms of design, it's a good-looking little snapper that successfully blends traditionalism with style. While our review unit came in pink, the Nikon Coolpix S4000 is also available in red and black.
This is the case with any digital camera, but the S230 had a very hard time making quality images under even average conditions. The Nikon Coolpix S4000 performs sometimes in average lighting conditions and actually shines when taking outside pictures when gentle is ample, as colours actually pop. It doesn't function optical picture stabilization, which would assist to scale back the need to depend on ISO speeds, nevertheless it does characteristic a “fixed range auto” choice that enables the digital camera to decide on the ISO it needs, but with a cap of 400 or 800.
Nikon have also added HD movie recording to the point and shoot digital camera with the gadget capturing video at 720p. In making the Nikon compact digital digicam easy to use, the Nikon features an extensive automatic mode referred to as the Touch Shutter characteristic. The Nikon compact digital camera also comes with a Nikon’s Smart portrait feature and other automatic modes such as Smile Timer, Blink Proof, Skin Softening and Advanced Face Priority AF.
Battery life is typically brief on touchscreen cameras because the excessive-powered display screen is on a lot of the time. The S4000's life was a little bit shorter than the average non-touchscreen, around 200 shots with a full charge. The tiny flash doesn't draw too much energy, which helps compensate for the display. Overall, it is better than anticipated, however still not very good. Most people don't set out to buy a touchscreen camera, so the S4000 sits in a peculiar market segment. It's a compact and attractive model, so this may lure potential buyers, but image quality issues and the temperamental nature of the touchscreen may mar expectations. Professional photographers know the drill: every few years, Canon or Nikon
announces a game-changing DSLR, often prompting top photogs to unload their
complete kits and switch to another system in a never-ending attempt to shoot
with the best. This time, Canon is first out of the gate, with its flagship
EOS-1D X -- the latest in a series that dates back to 2001 with the EOS-1D. As
you've probably noticed, the company's new top model looks virtually identical
to its decade-old ancestor, but is otherwise a far cry from that four
megapixel CCD sensor-sporting dinosaur. We've been anxiously awaiting an
opportunity to check out Canon's new $6,800 18.1 megapixel full-frame model
since first getting word of the beastly camera last week, and just had a
chance to go hands-on during the company's Pro Solutions event in London. Jump
past the break for our impressions and a video walkthrough.
