Yamaha RX-V667, Excellent Sound With Complicated Settings
This is a much researched replacement receiver a great Onkyo HT-S7100 7. 1 system. A Onkyo receiver HDMI input ports, one after the other, began to cease passing signal until merely one port worked. So disappointed with the Onkyo (it was a Christmas gift from my lady in 2008). From various a/v forums I came across out that this was a beyond common problem with too many about this model. Opted to replace instead regarding fix.
After much on-line reviews not to mention feedback from customers Yamaha RX-V667 was basically a no-brainer. I've had it put together now for a week and easy methods to pure joy. Running DISH HD VIP612 individual, SONY BluRay player w/wireless Netflix, Philips HDD/DVD burner/player using upconversion, PS3, and XBOX 360, all with HDMIs in your decide one HDMI out to a 50' Samsung Plasma. The whole thing works flawlessly. Picture is sharp relating to all Amazon High Speed HDMI wires and cables with ethernet (1. 4). Don't have 3D but this receiver is ready to make the.
The sound calibration system is inactive on. Pegged all my speakers, distanced these correctly and set them up exceptionally. Sounds better than what I found. Picture looks crisper also. Running audio systems: center, front right & left, existence right & left, surround right & departed, back surround right & left, in addition to subwoofer; 667 handles all well (back surrounds you should never work with all audio programs. Same with presence speakers but the Yamaha RX-V667 Receiver identifies when they can be utilized and kicks them in automatically).
This receiver has enough "bells and whistles" in order to meet the a/v pros yet is set in place to accomodate the novice with modest to no adjustments. I've only begun to explore all inside adjustment options and continue to obtain new things to "play with". Don't count on the manual to be much aid. First of all ther is no printed manual, it comes on any enclosed CD. You can print it out (I did because I love to have it handy for referencing but it's not at all a well written manual). Some have complained in regards to the remote, I don't have a problem with the wine. In "stand by" (needs to be activated) receiver passes audio and video straight to TV and its speakers, which is great you will be want to run surround sound, state, when your wife is sleeping throughout on Saturday morning. Love the on TV screen setup guide for all adjustments; easy to use, keeps what you're watching in your background.
So far I'm really content with this receiver. It isn't top on the line but it's not bottom possibly, it's mid-line. But honestly I can't imagine anyone being disappointed using this type of Yamaha RX-V667. It truly is awesome. Another thing, it can be purchased during a lower price than what Amazon charges but I opted to last with the assurance of an on-line supplier (Amazon) that I've done business with consistently now and have never been let down. They really do take care from the customers. I'm sure I'll add to the current review after I've had the beneficiary longer.
